Full Description
The Celtic Star design is actually two triquetras superimposed on each other; one facing up and one facing down, much like the Star of David hexagram. Therefore, the symbol tends to carry the meaning of the Triquetra with the added emphasis of the balance of opposites and their congruency. This pairs up nicely to the spiritual meaning of the number 6: that of balance and harmony. Notice also that this symbol is comprised of three Vesica Pisces speaking to it's strong connection to birth and creation. The Celtic Star may also be likened to the Tree of Life, with the three upward pointing arms representing the branches and upper world, the center representing the trunk and our (middle) world, and the three lower ones representing the roots and lower world.
