This extraordinary Sterling Silver Hamsa has a bezel-set Tiger's Eye in the palm of the hand.  Also known as the Hand of Fatima, the Hamsa is a very old and sacred symbol to many cultures the world over. Known mostly for its protective quality, this little gem (literally) would be wonderful to wear every day.

 

This pendant measures approximately 3/4" long by 5/16" wide. The metal is Sterling Silver.

    The Hamsa Hand or Hand of Fatima originated in the ancient Middle East. However, today, we see people of many religious backgrounds wearing the Hamsa as a protective symbol. It is a talismanic symbol that people believed to protect them from harm against the evil eye and bring them goodness, abundance, fertility, luck, and good health. The hamsa hand has a wide variety of different spellings which include hamesh, hamsa, chamsa, and khamsa.  It is also identified as the Hand of Miriam, Aaron and Moses's sister, and the Hand of Fatima, the prophet Mohammed's daughter.
